Serpentine Launch - 15 May 2022

The club enjoyed another successful launch last Sunday at Serpentine. The range was in excellent condition and cloudless blue skies prevailed for most of the day. The breeze was a little stronger than preferred so any rockets that deployed the main chute at apogee often resulted in a long walk for the flyer. More than 60 flyers, friends and spectators attended, providing another tremendous atmosphere. Three flyers certified including Andrew who again travelled from South Australia to achieve his L2.

Certifications

Yog S L1 with his scratch built “Bloody Ripper”  on a H219
Liam M L2 with scratch built “Sirius 2” on a J290, and
Andrew B L2 with his “SA Hoping 2” (modified Public Missiles Patriot) on a J270

Flight Summary

We witnessed 23 flights in total including the Monash Uni HPR teams Aether on an M3400 and Melbourne Uni teams Big Blue on a K750
