Australian Space Research Institute – AUSROC Sounding Rocket Program

The AUSROC series were sounding rockets using liquid bi-propellant motors developed and launched during the 1990’s and early 2000’s by an all-Australian team of rocketry and space enthusiasts.  John Coleman from ASRI has been part of the AUSROC program from its inception and will present a photographic journey through the history of the AUSROC program. This is an important part of Australia’s amateur rocketry history.

2023 Spaceport America Cup – A Round-up from our Victorian Universities

The Spaceport America Cup (SAC) is an international competition amongst universities from all over the globe and is held annual in the USA.  Monash HPR and Melbourne ARES teams competed in SAC, and the teams will present an overview of their competition rocket, the outcome of their flights, and how they performed in various parts of the challenge.  This will include anecdotes about the challenges of the preparation and logistics of entering a competition overseas.

Registration Is Essential:

This event is for VRA members and also anyone that has an interest in these topics.  Registration to attend is essential so that we can manage numbers at the venue.
